Finally, the temperature is starting to cool off some bringing long pleasant days on the water. The snook and redfish bite is amazing right now in Tampa bay. Big Gator trout are starting to show up in potholes on the flat. If you don’t like the heat but love fishing now is the time to book a charter.

Fall has arrived and so has the schools of redfish. As the water temperature drops you can find schools of reds roaming the flats. My bait of choice is pinfish but pilchards or shrimp will work. Snook have started staging up in all the passes. Now the perfect time to book a trip in Tampa Bay.

The redfish bite continues to be on fire. We’re knocking on the door of fall so the grouper bite is about to amp up. Snook are starting to transition back on the flats getting ready for the fall pattern.

We had another solid week catching red fish. The schools of reds have migrated along the shores of the Ruskin and Apollo beach area. Cut bait has been the key due to the hot temperatures. Snook are on the flats in sandy potholes. The snapper bite has been good on the public reefs from St Pete beach to the downtown Tampa Bay Area. August is here and that means back to school. Schools of redfish that is. The redfish and snook nite has be amazing in Tampa bay. From Ft Desoto across to Cockroach bay the bite has been sick. There’s plenty of bait on the flats so don’t forget to match the hatch. The bite should get better from here on out.

If you like extremely high tides or killer hill tides now it’s the time to be on the water fishing. Cockroach Bay in Ruskin Florida has been producing some solid redfish on the high and low tide look for the schools of mullet and the reds will be near. The snapper bite has been good with a few gags. During the hill tide look for tarpon moving throughout the Tampa Bay area mainly around the Skyway Bridge. It’s summertime and the bite has been right along with the weather.... HOT! We’re catching snook on the flats mainly sight fishing them in Isolated pot holes here in the Tampa Bay area. Redfish are showing up on high tide with some nice upper slots mixed in with the puppies. The Grouper bite has been strong with some nice keepers boated and a few heartbreakers.
